New Publication from the BIOJUME study- Women’s Prognosis in Epilepsy

The latest publication from BIOJUME ‘Sex-specific Disease Modifiers in Juvenile Myoclonic Epilepsy’ has been published in the journal Scientific Reports. You can read the full paper here:

In short, the paper shows that treatment response varies according to patient subgroups, with women faring worst of all. The study also sheds light on the problem of stress-triggered seizures, which the consortium are keen to pursue in future work.
