Deb Pal
About

Professor Pal is interested in the genetic epidemiology and mechanisms of childhood epilepsy and its comorbidities. In particular, the common forms of childhood epilepsy with complex genetic inheritance. He heads the BIOJUME study on the genetics of juvenile myoclonic epilepsy; the DESIRE-ELMO study on the predictive use of omics biomarkers in epilepsy-aphasia spectrum; the DOLPHIN study on the assessment of memory consolidation in children; and the CASTLE study comparing sleep modification versus antiepileptic drugs for rolandic epilepsy. In addition, he is supervising two PhD projects on the genetics of myoclonic-astatic epilepsy and the longitudinal imaging correlates of rolandic epilepsy. In his clinical role he leads the Epilepsy Genetics Service at King’s Health Partners.
