Shan obtained her MBBS degree from Guy’s and St Thomas’ School of Medicine and completed her MRCPCH through training at various London hospitals including Great Ormond Street Hospital, St George’s Hospital, King’s College Hospital and Evelina Children’s Hospital.

Shan entered paediatric neurology subspecialty grid training in 2007 and my interests are in epilepsy and neurodevelopmental disorders. She was awarded a MRC Clinical Research Training Fellowship in 2012 to study the phenotype and genetics of Myoclonic astatic epilepsy. Her research work is also supported by the Child Neurology Research Campaign and the NIHR Biomedical Research Centre at Guy’s and St Thomas’ NHS Foundation Trust.
