Cannabidiol and Epilepsy: The Real Risks and Benefits (Webinar event)

“Marijuana, more specifically Cannabidiol (CBD), has been a big focus recently in the field of epilepsy. Epidiolex, a treatment of cannabidiol (CBD), recently gained FDA approval for the treatment of seizures associated with Lennox-Gastaut syndrome and Dravet syndrome, two rare and severe forms of epilepsy. This is the first FDA-approved plant based treatment with greater than 98% CBD.” – CURE website.

The webinar event is being held on Wednesday October 24th at 1.00pm and is all about CBD and why it could be an effective treatment in some epilepsies. The event will also talk about the pros and risks of CBD. Featured Presenter: Anup D. Patel, MD, is Section Chief of Pediatric Neurology at Nationwide Children’s and Associate Professor of Clinical Pediatrics and Neurology at The Ohio State University College of Medicine.
